Rear Door Latch: Service and Repair
Rear Door Latch Replacement
NOTE: Put on gloves to protect your hands.
1. Remove these items:

Door panel
-
Plastic cover, as necessary
2. Raise the glass fully.
3. Disconnect the lock rod (A) from the lock crank (B). Detach the inner handle rod (C) from the rod holder (D), and disconnect the actuator
connectors (E). Take care not to bend any of the rods.
4. Remove the screws securing the latch (F), then remove the latch through the hole in the door. Take care not to bend any of the rods.
5. If necessary, detach the lock crank (A) from the door.
6. Install the latch in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

Make sure the actuator connectors are plugged in properly, and each rod is connected securely.

Make sure the door locks and opens properly.
