INSTALLATION

1. Install the brake pad retainers and brake pads.

CAUTION:  If reusing the original brake pads. Always reinstall them in their original positions to prevent loss of braking efficiency.

2. Install the pad spring on the caliper.
3. Install the caliper on the caliper bracket, and tighten the caliper mounting bolts to 49 Nm (36 ft. lbs.).
4. Connect the brake hose to the caliper with new sealing washers, and tighten the banjo bolt to 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.).
5. Connect the parking brake cable to the arm on the caliper and tighten to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
6. Fill the brake reservoir with clean brake fluid, and bleed the brake system.
7. Operate the brake pedal several times, then adjust the parking brake lever.

NOTE: Before adjustments, make sure the parking brake arm on the caliper touches the pin.

8. Install the caliper shield and tighten the bolts.
