Trunk / Liftgate Handle: Testing and Inspection
Trunk Lid Outer Handle Switch Test/Replacement
1. Open the trunk lid, and remove the trunk lid trim. See: Trunk / Liftgate Interior Trim Panel/Service and Repair/Interior Trim Removal/Installation

2. Disconnect the 3P connector (A) from the trunk lid outer handle switch (B).
3. Check for continuity between terminals No. 2 and No. 3.

With the handle pulled, there should be continuity.

With the handle released, there should be no continuity.
4. If the continuity is not as specified, remove the two bolts and replace the switch.
