Front Passenger's Weight Sensor Replacement
Removal
NOTE:

Removal of the front passenger's weight sensors must be done according to Precautions and Procedures. See: Air Bag Systems/Air Bag(s) Arming
and Disarming/Service and Repair

The front passenger's weight sensor are part of the seat frame and must be replaced as an assembly.
1. Remove the front passenger's seat. See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Front Seat Removal/Installation
2. Remove the front passenger's seat frame. See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Front Seat Frame Removal/Installation
Installation
NOTE:

Be sure to install the harness wires so they are not pinched or interfere with other parts.

The front passenger's height sensor are part of the seat frame and must be replaced as an assembly.
1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
2. Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure. See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Procedures
3. Calibrate the ODS unit. See: Air Bag Systems/Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning/ODS Unit Calibration
4. Confirm proper SRS operation: Turn the ignition switch to ON (II); the SRS indicator should come on for about 6 seconds and then go off.
