Wind Noise at the A-Pillar
SYMPTOM
A vibration or buzzing noise coming from the area of the A-pillar at speeds over 60 mph.
PROBABLE CAUSE
The rubber molding along the edge of the windshield is vibrating.
REQUIRED MATERIALS
3M Super Silicone Sealant: 3M P/N 051135-08662
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Seal the rubber molding to the A-pillar with adhesive.
1.
To protect the paint, apply a strip of masking tape (minimum of 1 inch wide) to the A-pillar along the edge of the rubber molding.
