Front Center Speaker Grille Rattles
SYMPTOM
The front center speaker grille rattles when the vehicle interior is hot.
PROBABLE CAUSE
The speaker foam gasket rubs against the bottom of the speaker grille.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Apply EPT sealer over the top of the existing speaker foam.
REQUIRED MATERIALS
EPT Sealer 31 (one roll will repair about 70 vehicles):

DIAGNOSIS
1.
Leave the vehicle in the sun for about 2 hours.
NOTE:
The symptom usually occurs when the interior temperature is about 90°F or hotter.
2.
Drive the vehicle to reproduce the rattle. When you hear the rattle, apply pressure to the center of the speaker grille.

If the rattle changes when you apply pressure, go to REPAIR PROCEDURE.

If the rattle is not affected by the pressure, continue with normal troubleshooting.
