Cut off both lower clip bosses with diagonal cutting pliers or another appropriate cutting tool.

Remove the pocket spring bracket (three screws).
4.
Install the backboard repair bracket. Make sure you properly align the screw holes, and to prevent stripping the plastic, do not overtighten the
screws.
5.
Insert the new clips into the slots on the backboard repair bracket.
6.
Reinstall the seat-back panel.
