Vacuum Brake Booster: Service and Repair
Brake Booster Replacement
1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure. See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Procedures
2. Remove the master cylinder. See: Hydraulic System/Brake Master Cylinder/Service and Repair
3. Remove the cowl cover. See: Body and Frame/Cowl/Cowl Moulding / Trim/Service and Repair
4. Remove the upper cover (A), then remove the two positive (+) terminals (B).
5. Remove the under-hood fuse/relay box (C) aside.
6. Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose (A) from the brake booster.
7. Remove the under-hood fuse/relay box bracket (A), then remove the engine wire harness clamps (B).
8. Remove the brake lines (A) from the hose clamp (B).
