TL FWD V6-3.5L (2009)
5. Remove the lock pin (A) from the upper arm ball joint, then remove the castle nut (B).
NOTE: During installation, install the lock pin as shown after tightening the new castle nut.
6. Disconnect the upper arm ball joint from the knuckle using the ball joint thread protector and the ball joint remover. See: Ball Joint/Service and
Repair/Ball Joint Removal
NOTE:

Be careful not to damage the ball joint boot when installing the remover.

During installation, to connect the ball joint, raise up the suspension with a jack. See: Control Arm/Service and Repair/Rear Upper Arm
Replacement
7. Remove the wheel speed sensor (A) from the knuckle. Do not disconnect the wheel speed sensor connector.
8. Remove the brake hose bracket mounting nuts (A), then disconnect the brake hose bracket (B) from the knuckle.
NOTE: Use the new mounting nuts during reassembly.
9. Remove the damper lower mounting bolt (C).
NOTE: Use a new mounting bolt during reassembly.
