Headliner Removal/Installation

NOTE:

Put on gloves to protect your hands.

Take care not to bend or scratch the headliner.

Be careful not to damage the dashboard or other interior trim.

Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
1. Remove the front seat belt lower anchor from the seat See: Restraint Systems/Seat Belt Systems/Seat Belt/Service and Repair/Front Seat Belt
Replacement.
2. Slide both the front seats all the way back, and recline the seat-back fully.
3. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Procedures, then wait at least 3 minutes
before beginning work.
4. Remove these items:

A-pillar trims, both sides See: Trim Panel/Service and Repair/Pillar Trim/Interior Trim Removal/Installation - Pillar Areas

B-pillar upper/lower trims, both sides See: Trim Panel/Service and Repair/Pillar Trim/Interior Trim Removal/Installation - Pillar Areas

Quarter pillar trims, both sides See: Trim Panel/Service and Repair/Pillar Trim/Interior Trim Removal/Installation - Pillar Areas

Sunvisors, both sides See: Sun Visor/Service and Repair
-
Grab handles, four places See: Passenger Assist Handle/Service and Repair

Rear individual map light See: Lighting and Horns/Map Light/Service and Repair
5. Remove the roof console (A).
1. Remove the screws, then pull down the roof console by detaching the clips.
2. Disconnect the roof console connector (B), the panoramic glass roof/sunshade switch connector (C), and the HFL microphone connector (D)
(if equipped).
