Front
1. Do the battery removal procedure See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement.
2. Remove the battery base See: Service and Repair/Engine Removal.
3. Drain the engine coolant See: Cooling System/Coolant/Service and Repair.
4. Disconnect the radiator hoses.
5. Remove the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve See: Powertrain Management/Emission Control Systems/Exhaust Gas Recirculation/EGR
Valve/Service and Repair.
6. Remove the EGR valve stud bolts (A).
7. Remove the timing belt See: Timing Components/Timing Belt/Service and Repair/Timing Belt Removal.
8. Remove the front rocker arm assembly See: Cylinder Head Assembly/Service and Repair/Overhaul/Rocker Arm Assembly Removal.
9. Remove the front camshaft pulley See: Cylinder Head Assembly/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Cylinder Head Removal.
