Resetting Individual Maintenance Items
1. Connect the Honda Diagnostic System (HDS) to the data link connector (DLC) See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control
Systems/Testing and Inspection/Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.
3. Make sure the HDS communicates with the vehicle and the powertrain control module (PCM). If it doesn't communicate, troubleshoot the DLC
circuit See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and General Diagnostics/DLC
Circuit Troubleshooting.
4. Select BODY ELECTRICAL with the HDS.
5. Select ADJUSTMENT in the GAUGES MENU with the HDS.
6. Select RESET in the MAINTENANCE MINDER with the HDS.
7. Select the individual maintenance item you wish to reset.
