Seat Belt Tensioner: Removal and Replacement
E-Pretensioner Unit Replacement
Removal
1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Procedures, then wait at least 3 minutes
before starting work.
2. Remove the front seats See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Front Seat Removal/Installation.
3. Remove the center console See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Console/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Center
Console Removal/Installation.
4. Disconnect the E-pretensioner unit connectors A (5P) and B (14P) from the E-pretensioner unit (C).
5. Remove the mounting bolts (D) from the shift lever bracket , then remove the E-pretensioner unit.
Installation
1. Install the E-pretensioner unit (A) with a new mounting bolts (B).
