Axle – construction features

The driveshafts, the intermediate shaft and the constant velocity joints make up the 'axle' assembly and transmit the movement from the gearbox differential to the drive wheels.

The presence of an intermediate shaft is due to the need to apply the same type of force to the left and right driveshafts with the advantage of less vibrations and improved durability and reliability.
