N10 Car radio

When the control is operated, the radio does not come on.

Step	Test procedure	Result	Action
0	PRELIMINARY CHECKS Check that the radio shows no signs of life	OK	Move onto step 1
		The radio comes on but does not play properly	Move onto step (see N11)
		The radio comes on, but there is interference with channel reception	Move onto step (see N12)
1	RADIO CHECK Check the condition of the protective fuse behind the actual radio; see DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION: 5570T Car radio and car telephone (see 5570TF)	OK	Move onto step 2
1		Fuse faulty	Replace the fuse (then search for the cause of the problem) End of diagnosis
2	RADIO ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT CHECK Check, in order: radio protective fuses (service) radio supply radio earth Wiring diagram E3510 CAR RADIO	OK	Move onto step 3
		Component defective	Replace the component involved (if a fuse is involved, search for the cause of the problem) End of diagnosis
		Connections not correct	Restore connections End of diagnosis
3	RADIO CHECK Check the operation of the actual radio: see DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION: 5570T Car radio and car telephone (see 5570TF)	OK	Move onto step 4
3		Radio faulty	Replace the radio End of diagnosis
4	CORRECT OPERATION CHECK Check that the fault is no longer present	OK	End of diagnosis
4		Fault persists	Incorrect selection of diagnostic procedure
