ELECTRICALLY ADJUSTABLE SEATS - DESCRIPTION

HIGH trim level

DESCRIPTION

The vehicle can be fitted with electrically adjustable front seats.

A multifunction control on each seat includes:

- adjustment of the backrest angle;

- lengthwise adjustment of the seat;

- front and rear height adjustment of the seat (rocker).

The system also makes it possible to memorize and recall three different positions for the driver''s seat (and the door mirrors): after the position of the seat and the door mirrors has been adjusted, pressing one of the buttons ("1", "2" or "3") for a few seconds memorizes the position; this can only take place with the TEG inserted (ON).

To recall a previously memorized position briefly press the relevant button. When a new seat position is memorized any previously memorized settings on this button are automatically cancelled

The seats are also equipped with the easy entry function which facilitates access to the rear seats when the backrest is tilted forwards: a special switch detects the operation of the lever that folds the backrest over and controls the automatic movement of the seat forwards until it is in the front end of travel position.

Once the backrest is released, the seat return to its previous position. The device is also fitted with an anti-panic function which interrupts the automatic movement described above if one of the seat control buttons is activated.

The device also has an anti-crush safety function. whilst the seat is returning into position moving backwards, if an obstacle is detected in the seat''s path, the movement stops and the seat is moved about 5 cm forwards to release the obstacle.

Seat position memorization does not include heating start up

See E3075 HEATED SEATS

The seat is also equipped with a lumbar adjustment knob that makes it possible to improve comfort by altering the backrest support: this adjustment is always mechanical and not controlled by electric motors.

The seat movement can only be activated with the ignition on (INT).

The seat moving circuit is protected by two specific fuses located in the luggage compartment fuse box.

LOW trim level

DESCRIPTION

The LOW trim level of the vehicle is fitted with manually adjusted front seats, with the exception of the backrest angle adjustment which is electrical.

A special switch, located on the actual seat. adjusts the "raising" and "lowering" of the backrest if operated in the two different positions.

A relay on each seat controls the motors.
