Control Pressure During Warm-Up

Pressure should be within the range shown on the graph for the specified temperature range.
If control pressure is not within the specified range, replace warm-up regulator.
CONTROL PRESSURE CHECKING (WARM)
1.
Perform the cold control pressure check first. Leave gauge connected and warm engine to normal operating temperature.
2.
Observe pressure on gauge.

Pressure should be 49 - 55 psi (3.4 - 3.8 bar).
If pressure is not within the specified range, replace warm-up regulator.
HEATING ELEMENT RESISTANCE CHECK
Checking Warm-Up Regulator Heating Element
1.
Disconnect electrical connector from warm-up regulator and check resistance as shown in illustration.

Resistance should be 16 - 22 ohms.
If resistance is not within specification, replace regulator.
