Removing and installing sunroof sun blind Removing sunroof sun blind –  Glass panel removed

–  Remove bolts -1- from cover (rear) -2-.

–  Pull cover (rear) -1- out in direction of -arrow-.

–  Unscrew bolts -2- from tension bow and and detach grip -1-.

–  Remove bolts -2- from rear of sunroof sun blind -1-.

–  Lift sunroof sun blind -1- diagonally up at rear (as shown) and slide tension bow with slides towards rear out of guides (in direction of -arrows-).

–  Lift out sun blind with tension bow.

–  Pull slides -1- (left and right) out of tension bow -2-.

–  Pull fabric of sunroof sun blind out of tension bow from the side. Installing tension bow

–  Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following: –  Carefully insert sun blind fabric -1- into moulding channel in tension bow -2-.

–  Insert slides -1- into tension bow.   Caution Take care not to shear off the rubber buffers -arrow- when inserting the slides. Installing sunroof sun blind l  Tension bow inserted in sunroof sun blind   Note

Before installing the slide in the guide rail, the guide pins must be pressed out slightly from the bottom in the direction of the -arrows-.

–  Insert sunroof sun blind into slide in guide rail.   Caution The slide and its rollers must run correctly in the guide.

–  For greater clarity, the slide is shown without guide rail.

–  Actuator -2- must be inserted into guide rail -3-, as shown. –  Slides -1- are slid onto guide -2- from above. –  When installed correctly, actuator -2- must engage in slide -1-.

–  Centring mechanism of sunroof sun blind -1- must be slid into guide rail (top) -arrow-...

–  ... and into guide rail (bottom) -2- on both sides, as shown. –  At the same time, guides of centring mechanism must be guided correctly into guide rail -arrow-. –  Tighten bolts to specified torque → Item.

–  Press guide pins into slide so they are flush.

–  Re-install grip on tension bow and check that sun blind can be opened and closed completely. –  Tighten bolts to specified torque → Item.
