Procedure
–  Fill up brake fluid reservoir to „MAX“ mark.
–  Connect brake filling and bleeding equipment -VAS 5234- with adapter -VAS 5234/1-.

–  Screw adapter -1- onto brake fluid reservoir.
–  Set correct pressure on -VAS 5234-.
–  Please follow operating instructions for -VAS 5234-.
  Note
Use suitable bleeder hose. It must fit tightly on the bleeder valve so that no air can enter the brake system.

–  Detach caps -1- at front of vehicle on both sides.

–  Detach caps -1- at rear of vehicle on both sides.
–  Connect bleeder bottle hose to bleeder screw.
Bleeding sequence
1 - Front left-side brake caliper
2 - Front right-side brake caliper
3 - Rear left-side brake caliper
4 - Rear right-side brake caliper
–  With bleeder hose attached, leave bleeder screw open until the brake fluid which emerges is clear and free from bubbles.
–  Press brake pedal 5 times to assist bleeding process.
–  Tighten bleeder screw to 10 Nm, detach bleeder hose and attach protective cap to bleeder screw.
–  Repeat bleeding procedure in stated sequence at other brake calipers.

–  Fit caps -1- at front of vehicle on both sides.

–  Fit caps -1- at rear of vehicle on both sides.
–  Fill up brake fluid reservoir to „MAX“ mark.

  N01-10747
To prevent brake fluid from overflowing from the reservoir, the brake fluid level must not be above the „MAX“ mark -1-.
–  Start engine and check brake pedal travel and brake pedal pressure.
–  In the event of excessive pedal travel, check brake system for leaks and/or repeat bleeding procedure.
After bleeding brake system, zero position compensation must be performed for brake pressure sender 1 -G201-.
Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system -VAS 5051 B- or -VAS 5052- under the function → "Guided Fault Finding".
Perform test drive after completion of bleeding. At least one ABS control operation must be applied at all four wheels.

  Caution
Make sure that the brakes work properly before the vehicle is driven on the road.
