t  Ring spanner insert (16 mm) -V.A.G 1331/12-

Removing
–  Remove front wheel.
–  Remove nut -1- from coupling rod -3-.
–  Pull coupling rod -3- out of anti-roll bar -2-.

–  Unscrew nut -arrow- and pull coupling rod -1- out of suspension strut.
–  Take out coupling rod -1-.
Installing
Installation is performed in reverse sequence; note the following:
  A40-10440
–  Tighten nuts securing coupling rod -1- to suspension strut and anti-roll bar (counterholding at sockets -2- on coupling rod).
  Note
The tool used for counterholding must be applied straight.
–  Check and adjust wheel alignment as required, see chart → Chapter.
Tightening torques → Chapter „Exploded view - subframe, swivel joint, wishbone, anti-roll bar, coupling rod“
–  Fit and secure wheel → Rep. gr.44.
