Removing and installing motor/pump unit > < Motor/pump unit

t  There is no provision for repairing the motor/pump unit.
t  If problems are reported, determine the cause by means of a pressure test and a leakage test.
t  Always check the steering system for leaks if the hydraulic fluid level in the reservoir is low.
t  In the event of any leaks near line connections, re-tighten connections and wipe dry.
t  Do not re-use hydraulic fluid which has been drained off.
t  Always renew seals.
t  Quantity of fluid in system: approx. 0.8 ltr.
1 - Cap with dipstick
q   Checking hydraulic fluid level → Chapter
2 - Seal
3 - Fluid reservoir
q   Renewing → Chapter
4 - Clamp
q   3 Nm
q   For correct version refer to → Electronic parts catalogue „ETKA“
5 - Seal
q   For correct version refer to → Electronic parts catalogue „ETKA“
q   Always renew if removed
6 - Motor/pump unit
q   With power steering control unit -J500-
q   No provision for repair
q   Only the fluid reservoir → Item, clamp → Item and seal → Item can be renewed.
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
q   Checking delivery pressure → Chapter
7 - Mounting
q   Tightening torque: 7 Nm
q   Check for damage, such as cracks in rubber, separation of metal plate from rubber etc. and renew as required
8 - Nut
q   7 Nm
q   When tightening, counterhold at mounting → Item
9 - Bolt
q   20 Nm +90°
q   Always renew if removed
10 - Bracket
q   For motor/pump unit
q   Different versions available
q   For correct version refer to → Electronic parts catalogue „ETKA“
11 - Pressure line
12 - Union screw
q   30 Nm
13 - Seal
q   Always renew if removed
14 - Spring-type clip
15 - Return line
