Removing and installing digital sound package control unit
Removing and installing digital sound package control unit
The digital sound package control unit -J525- is located in the luggage compartment (left-side) beneath the luggage compartment floor.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Protective cap for cable connector -VAS 6223/9-
–  When renewing control unit, select „Replacement“ function for appropriate control unit in „Guided Fault Finding“.
Use → Vehicle diagnostic tester to do so.
–  Switch off ignition and all electrical equipment and remove ignition key.
Removing
–  Take out luggage compartment floor.
–  Detach cover on control unit bracket.

–  Release and unplug connector to MOST bus -4- on digital sound package control unit -J525--1-.

–  Fit protective cap for cable connector -VAS 6223/9--1- onto MOST bus connector -2-.
  A97-0760
–  Release and unplug connector -3- at digital sound package control unit -J525--1-.
–  Unscrew bolts -2- and pivot digital sound package control unit -J525--1- out of bracket.
Installing
–  Install in reverse sequence of removal.
Tightening torques → Chapter
  A91-11603
