Attaching pulley > < Detaching and re-attaching pulley from/onto compressor

Removing pulley
–  Remove the noise insulation → General Body Repairs, Exterior; Rep. Gr.50.
–  Slacken the poly-V-belt and remove it → Engine Mechanical Components; Repair group 13
   
–  Unscrew the bolt -A- (tightening torque 20 Nm).
  Note
t  Should it not be possible to detach the pulley when the compressor is in position, detach the compressor from the engine → Chapter.
t  To loosen or tighten the bolt -A-, counterhold using a commercially available 2-hole pin wrench -C- (pin diameter 5.0 mm) on the drive plate -B-.
t  The bolt -A- must be replaced (on account of locking fluid).
t  Use the bolt -A-,which has been removed to adjust the gap.

–  Carefully and evenly lever off the drive plate -A- using 2 screwdrivers -B-.
  Note
t  When levering off the drive plate -A-, take care not to damage the collar of the pulley -C-.
t  There are different types of pulley -C- and drive plate -A-. Therefore, ensure that you use the right types. → Parts List

–  Remove circlip -A-.
–  Detach the pulley -B-.
