| If the positioning motor is to be replaced and the position of the gear wheel on the positioning motor being fitted is not known (the illustration shows the position of the gear wheel in the “recirculated-air mode stop”): |

| Start by removing glove box and attach the new positioning motor to the connector, which is unplugged from the installed positioning motor. |

| Then switch on the ignition and set the heater to recirculated-air mode via the heater controls. |

| Once the positioning motor is in the “recirculated-air mode” position, switch off the ignition and disconnect the positioning motor. |
| t
| If the positioning motor which is being removed has to be reinstalled, also set the heater to recirculated-air mode before disconnecting the battery. |
