Removing and installing the step-up gear/air distribution
Removing and installing the step-up gear/air distribution
–  Remove the heater → Chapter
–  Detach the air distributor housing from the heater → Chapter.
   
–  Remove the bolts -A-.
–  Release the catch -B- and remove the step-up gear.
  Note
t  During installation, start by inserting the step-up gear into mounts -C-.

t  Then assemble the levers -D-, -E- and -F- into the ones with the guides on the gear wheels (cam plates) -G-, -H- and the lever -I-.
t  After installing the step-up gear, turn the gear wheels to check the function and proper installation of the levers in the cam plates of the gear wheels.
t  After installing the shaft, check the function and freedom of movement of the air distribution controller.

t  The base plate of the heater controls is fitted with a step-up gear. One turn of the rotary knobs for temperature setting -B- or air distribution -A- causes the flexible shaft to turn twice.
t  Check the direction in which the air flows depending on the position of the rotary knob for air distribution.
t  If the check reveals that the shaft has not been correctly installed:
t  Detach the shaft again.
t  Give the air distribution rotary knob half a turn (180°).
t  Reattach the shaft and check the function again.
