Information on the convenience data bus and operating status of the data bus system

1Information from the control unit in the dash panel insert -J285-
t  Display = Dash panel insert 0
–  No messages are received from the dash panel insert
t  Display = Dash panel insert 1
–  Messages are being received from the control unit in the dash panel insert -J285-
l  If “0” appears on the display, interrogate the fault memory → Chapter and check the convenience data bus → Chapter
2Information from the central control unit for convenience system -J393-
t  Display = Central 0
–  No messages received from the central control unit for the convenience system -J393-
t  Display = Central 1
–  Messages are being received from the central control unit for the convenience system -J393-
l  If “0” appears on the display, interrogate the fault memory → Chapter and check the convenience data bus → Chapter

4Operating status of the convenience data bus
t  Display = Two-wire
–  Convenience data bus in two-wire mode (normal state)
–  Reception of information transmitted on convenience data bus at both inputs (“Can-Hi” and “Can-Lo”)
t  Display = One-wire
–  Convenience data bus in one-wire mode (emergency operation)
–  Reception of information transmitted on convenience data bus at one input only (“Can-Hi” or “Can-Lo”)
l  If “one-wire” appears on the display, interrogate the fault memory → Chapter and check the convenience data bus → Chapter

  Note
t  In contrast to the drive data bus system, the convenience data bus system can also operate in one-wire mode. However, the system is then set to emergency operation.
t  If information is not received on convenience data bus, the operating and display unit for air conditioner/Climatronic -E87- does not actuate the air conditioner compressor regulating valve -N280- (compressor is off).
