Separating starter/main catalytic converter and rear silencer
Separating starter/main catalytic converter and rear silencer
t  Cutting point is provided in connecting pipe for separate replacement of starter/main catalytic converter or rear silencer.
t  Cutting location is marked by an indentation on circumference of exhaust pipe.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Chain-type pipe cutter -VAS 6254-
  A26-0790
Procedure
–  Cut through exhaust pipe at a right angle at cutting point -2- using chain-type pipe cutter -VAS 6254-.
–  When reassembling, position the clamp -4- centrally over the markings -1- and -3-.

–  Install clamp so that bolts are positioned horizontally.
l  Bolt connection faces downwards.
