Installing > < Removing and installing drive shafts (vehicles with fabricated wishbone)
Removing
Removing
–  Lift vehicle far enough to take weight off front wheels.
–  Remove 12-point nut using 36 mm socket -T10125-.
–  Remove wheel.
–  Remove noise insulation.
Right drive shaft (vehicles with petrol engine)
–  If fitted, detach guard plate from pendulum support.
–  If fitted, detach guard plate above drive shaft from engine.
Both sides (continued):
–  Unbolt drive shaft from flange shaft on gearbox.
–  Mark positions of bolts securing swivel joint to wishbone.
   
–  Remove bolts -arrows-.
–  Pull wheel bearing housing with swivel joint out of wishbone.

–  Pivot suspension strut outwards and hold in place with a wooden block or similar -1-; at the same time pull drive shaft out of wheel bearing.
  Note!
If the drive shaft cannot be pulled out of the wheel bearing by hand, use press tool -3283-.
