Adjusting wiper arm Special tools and workshop equipment required

t  Protective cover for bonnet Audi A2 -VAS 6011-

Sequence of operations –  Wash and rub dry the outside of the bonnet. –  Release the service flap from inside. –  Release the bonnet -arrows- and pull it forwards slightly.

–  Fit the protective cover -VAS 6011- over the bonnet.   Note

Do not stand the bonnet on end. –  Detach the bonnet and set it down on the protective cover -VAS 6011-.

–  Remove the wiper arm at the top -2- → Chapter. –  Switch on ignition. –  Actuate the “Flick wipe” function and allow the wiper motor to move to its end position. –  Switch off ignition.

–  Position the wiper arm with the wiper blade fitted at the wiper shaft and align the wiper blade on the windscreen as follows: l  Dimension -a- = 22+5 mm   Note Dimension -a- indicates the distance between the tip of the wiper blade -1- and the black cowl panel grille at the bottom edge of the windscreen. –  Tighten the wiper arm nut. –  Actuate the “Flick wipe” function and allow the wiper arm to move to its end position. –  Switch off ignition. –  Check the setting of the wiper arm again and correct if necessary. Tightening torque
