Pull hydraulic thrust piece out of steering gear housing. 

Note:

If there are signs of corrosion, damage or wear on rack, steering gear must be replaced completely.

Installing and adjusting

Coat new thrust piece - arrow - (contact surface of rack), seal and hole in steering gear housing - arrow - with supplied grease G 052 192 A1. 

Do not use any other type of grease.

Install hydraulic thrust piece and seal - arrow -.

-

Tighten adjustment screw to 40 Nm.
