Check spring connections and rivet connections

Check spring connections - arrows A - for damage and rivet connections - arrows B -for secure fit.

A pressure plate with severely kinked or broken off spring connections or with loose rivet connections must be replaced.

Only replace the pressure plate and clutch plate together. Allocate pressure plate and clutch plate according to engine code via.

Removal instructions for dual-mass flywheel 

Note:

To prevent damaging the dual-mass flywheel when removing, the bolts - B - must not be removed using an air or impact driver. Removal of the
bolts is only permissible by hand.

Turn dual-mass flywheel - A - so that the bolts are positioned centrally to the bores -arrows -.

-

When removing bolts, make sure that no bolt head contacts dual-mass flywheel, otherwise it may be damaged when the bolt is turned further.
