Intermediate Shaft Sprocket Tightening Sequence
CAUTION: Always replace the intermediate shaft sprocket. Otherwise the backlash will not adjust itself and it could result in engine
damage.
The new intermediate shaft sprocket has an anti-friction coating that wears off after a short period of use, which automatically adjusts the
backlash.
-
Tighten the bolt as follows:
-
Pre-tighten to 10 Nm using a torque wrench.
-
Rotate the intermediate shaft sprocket.
The intermediate shaft sprocket must not have any play. Loosen and tighten it again if necessary.

-
Tighten further 90°.
