Servicing clutch release mechanism
   
Servicing clutch release mechanism
1 - Release bearing
q   Remove and install together with clutch release lever → Item and guide sleeve → Item → Fig. to → Fig.
q   Do not wash out bearing; wipe clean only
q   Renew bearing if noisy
q   Lubricate surfaces on release lever with MoS2 grease
2 - Bolt
q   5 Nm and turn 90° further
q   Always renew
3 - Clutch release lever
q   Remove and install together with clutch release bearing → Item and guide sleeve → Item → Fig. to → Fig.
q   Lubricate surface which contacts ball head stud with MoS2 grease
4 - Retaining spring
q   Secure to clutch release lever
5 - Guide sleeve
q   Remove and install together with clutch release bearing → Item and clutch release lever → Item → Fig. to → Fig.
6 - Input shaft oil seal
q   Renewing → Item
7 - Ball head stud
q   20 Nm
q   Lubricate with MoS2 grease
8 - Gearbox
9 - Bolt
q   20 Nm
10 - Bracket
11 - Clutch slave cylinder
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
q   Lubricate end of plunger with MoS2 grease

   
Removing and installing clutch release lever with clutch release bearing and guide sleeve
–  Remove bolts -arrows-.
–  Pull off clutch release lever with release bearing and guide sleeve from input shaft and ball head stud.
Perform installation in reverse sequence of removal.

Removing and installing guide sleeve
–  Push guide sleeve -3- upwards out of release bearing -2-.
–  Turn guide sleeve -3- approx. 90° in direction of arrow against release bearing -2- until locking lugs of guide sleeve locate in the grooves -4- of the release bearing.
–  In this position, pull the guide sleeve out of the clutch release bearing.
Perform installation in reverse sequence of removal.

Removing and installing clutch release bearing
–  Press locking lugs -arrows- together on reverse side of clutch release lever and remove release bearing -A- from clutch release lever.
–  To install, press release bearing -A- into clutch release lever until locking lugs -arrows- engage.
