Removing
   
–  Remove the engine cover -arrows-.
–  Disconnect the wiring/unplug the connector at the:
 - Intake air temperature sender -G42-
 - Hall sender -G40-
 - Throttle valve module -J338-

–  Press the release buttons at the separation point and disconnect the fuel supply pipe -1- and fuel return pipe -2-.
  WARNING
The fuel system is pressurised. Before opening the system, wrap a cloth around the connection. Then dissipate pressure by carefully unfastening the connection.

–  Disconnect vacuum hose from fuel pressure regulator -arrow-.

–  Unplug the connectors -1-.
–  Disengage the cable duct -2-.
–  Remove the two hexagon socket head bolts -arrows- for the fuel rail.
–  Pull fuel rail together with injectors off intake manifold (pull off evenly from the top) and place it on a clean cloth in the engine compartment.
–  Pull off retaining clip and detach injector.
  Note
The fuel hoses must be detached before replacing fuel rail.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
l  Replace the O-rings at all the connections unfastened (when replacing the front O-ring, never pull the plastic cap off the injector head - lift the O-ring over the plastic cap).
l  Moisten the O-rings with fresh engine oil.
l  Make sure the injectors are correctly positioned.
l  Check for firm attachment of the retaining clips.
l  Position fuel rail together with injectors (properly secured) against intake manifold and press into place evenly.
