Separating and connecting brake pedal and brake servo
Separating and connecting brake pedal and brake servo
Use release tool -T10006- to separate brake pedal from brake servo → Chapter.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Release tool -T 40024-
Separating
–  Remove driver's storage compartment → Rep. gr.68.
–  Turn brake light switch anti-clockwise 45° to remove.
  Note
The brake light switch is not fitted on all models
  W00-1165
–  Use release tool -T 40024- to separate brake pedal from brake servo.
–  Position release tool -T 40024- and press handles together while simultaneously pulling brake pedal towards driver's seat. (This detaches the brake pedal from the ball head of the push rod).
Installing
Installation is performed in reverse sequence; note the following:
Attaching brake pedal to brake servo
  A46-0219
–  Hold ball head of push rod in front of mounting and push brake pedal towards brake servo so that ball head audibly locks into place.
–  Install brake light switch → Chapter.
  Note
The brake light switch is not fitted on all models
–  Install storage compartment on driver's side: → Rep. gr.68
