t  The identification -arrow- on the underside of the final drive unit indicates which final drive version is installed.
t  The Haldex coupling can be checked by road-testing the vehicle and using the vehicle diagnostic tester.

To avoid any risk of accident, observe the → Chapter „Safety precautions“ when road-testing the vehicle and using test equipment.

–  With ignition switched off, connect vehicle diagnostic tester using diagnosis cable.
Fitting location: footwell (front left), next to bonnet release lever.
Starting „Guided Functions“:
–  Switch on ignition.
–  Touch the symbol or button „Guided Functions“ on the screen.
–  Select the options on the tester in this sequence:
t  Brand
t  Model
t  Model year
t  Version
t  Engine code letters
t  Confirm the data entered.
t  22 - 4WD electronics
t  22 - Final control diagnosis
–  Start final control diagnosis and follow instructions appearing on tester.
