Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Vehicle diagnostic tester
  WARNING
To avoid any risk of accident, observe the → Chapter „Safety precautions“ when road-testing the vehicle and using test equipment.
   
–  With ignition switched off, connect vehicle diagnostic tester to diagnostic connection.
Fitting location: footwell (front left), next to bonnet release lever.
Starting „Guided Fault Finding“:
–  Switch on ignition.
–  Touch field/key „Guided fault finding“ on screen.
–  Select the options on the tester in this sequence:
t  Brand
t  Model
t  Model year
t  Version
t  Engine code letters
–  Confirm the data entered.
–  Wait until the tester has interrogated all on-board control units and set up a test routine.
–  Work through the test routine.
