Removing and installing exhaust gas recirculation valveN18 with exhaust gas recirculation potentiometerG212
Removing and installing exhaust gas recirculation valve -N18- with exhaust gas recirculation potentiometer -G212-
   
Removing
–  Remove engine cover panel -arrows-.
  A10-11002
–  Remove noise insulation -1- → Rep. gr.50.
  A10-10917
–  Release hose clip -2-, lift retaining clip -1- and remove air hose.
  A21-10336
–  Remove bolts -1- and -3-.
–  Loosen hose clip -5- and disconnect air pipe -2-, but leave in position.
  Note
Disregard -item 4-.
  A21-10172
–  Unplug electrical connector -3- at intake manifold flap motor -V157-.
  Note
Disregard -items 1, 2, 4- and -arrow-.
  N15-10409
–  Unscrew bolts -arrows- and detach intake manifold flap motor -V157-.
  A23-10150
–  Unplug electrical connector -1- on exhaust gas recirculation valve -N18- with exhaust gas recirculation potentiometer -G212-.
–  Remove bolts -2- and -3- and detach exhaust gas recirculation valve -N18- with exhaust gas recirculation potentiometer -G212-.
  Note
Disregard -item 4-.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
l  Tightening torque → Chapter „Exhaust gas recirculation with exhaust gas recirculation cooler - exploded view“
  Note
Renew O-ring.
–  Install intake manifold flap motor -V157- → Rep. gr.23.
–  Install air pipe → Chapter.
–  Install air hose with plug-in connector → Fig..
–  Install noise insulation → Rep. gr.50.
