Removing and installing coolant pump
Removing and installing coolant pump
   
Removing
–  Drain coolant → Chapter.
–  Remove bolts -2- and -3-.
  Note
Disregard -item 1-.
  A10-1578
–  Remove bolts -arrows-.
  Note
Disregard -items 1, 2-.
–  Remove engine mounting → Chapter.

–  To slacken poly V-belt turn tensioner in clockwise direction -arrow-.
–  Remove poly V-belt from alternator and release tensioner.

–  Use spindle (left-side) to raise engine through distance -a-.
l  Distance -55 mm-.

–  Remove bolts -arrows- (access via holes in poly V-belt pulley) and detach coolant pump.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
l  Tightening torque → Chapter „Coolant pump and thermostat with housing - exploded view“
–  Clean and smoothen sealing surface for integrated silicone seal on coolant pump.
–  Install engine mountings → Chapter.
–  Install poly V-belt for alternator and coolant pump → Chapter.
–  Install cross piece → Chapter.
–  Install pendulum support → Rep. gr.34.
–  Fill up with coolant → Anchor.
