Removing and installing intake manifold - vehicles with engine codes AZV, BKD

Removing

–	Remove intake manifold flap motor -V157- → Chapter.

–	Detach vacuum hose -1-.

–	Unscrew bolt -2- and detach vacuum reservoir from bracket.

–	Remove bolts -arrows-.

–	Remove right engine lifting eye.

–	Unclip bracket -3- for fuel hoses on left engine lifting eye.

–	Remove bolts -1- and -2-.

Note

Disregard -item 4-.

–	Remove intake manifold -arrows-.

Note

The centre top bolt is located inside the intake manifold.

Installing

Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

t	Renew gaskets and seals.

t	Secure all hose connections with the correct type of hose clips (same as original equipment) → Parts catalogue.

–	Install intake manifold flap motor -V157- → Chapter.

–	When installing air pipes/air intake hoses with plug-in connectors, ensure that the securing clip -arrow- engages audibly in the retaining lug -A-.

Mechanical exhaust gas recirculation valve to intake manifold	10

Connecting pipe for exhaust gas recirculation to connection	10
