Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Torque wrench -V.A.G 1332-
–  Remove drive shaft (right-side) → Chapter.
  W00-0428
–  Slacken off bolts -arrows- at mounting bracket.
–  Pull intermediate shaft off gearbox.
Servicing intermediate shaft → Chapter
  N40-10023
Installing
–  Start by renewing oil seal -1- at gearbox.
  N40-10024
–  Then slide intermediate shaft onto gearbox shaft until bearing -2- makes full contact with mounting bracket -1- (without gaps).
  N40-10027
–  Tighten bolts -arrows- to 20 Nm.
–  Install drive shaft → Chapter.
