Drive Belt: Locations

Ribbed Belt Drive Assembly Overview

Ribbed belt

Check for wear

Do not kink

^

Before removing, mark direction of rotation using chalk or felt-tip marker. Reversing direction of rotation of a run-in belt can destroy the belt

When installing, make sure it is seated correctly on the pulleys

Vibration damper

With ribbed belt pulley

100 Nm plus an additional 90° ()

Replace

^

Use counter-holder T10069 to loosen and tighten

Ribbed belt pulley for coolant pump

Tensioning device for ribbed belt

To release tension on ribbed belt, swing using open-end wrench.

Secure with Locking Pin T10060.
