DSG Mechatronic - 6 Spd. Direct Shift A/T 02E All Wheel Drive

Removing

CAUTION
Do not run engine with the oil pan removed or without transmission oil filling and do not tow vehicle.

General repair notes.

Coat O-rings and seals with transmission fluid. Other lubricating substances lead to functional problems in the hydraulic transmission control.

Drain transmission fluid.

Remove oil pan.

-

Remove left noise insulation -arrows-.

-

Remove bolts -arrows- and remove the transmission fluid pump cover -A-.

CAUTION
If the transmission fluid pump cover is not removed, the long "sensor arm" will be damaged when removing the Mechatronic.

Touch vehicle ground with hand (without gloves) to discharge static.

CAUTION

Always discharge static electricity by touching a grounded object, e.g. vehicle ground, before touching or removing Direct Shift Gearbox
(DSG) Mechatronic J743.

Connector terminals of transmission connector must not be touched by hand under any circumstances because control module and
therefore Mechatronic may be destroyed by static discharge.
