A traction control system (ASR) may be fitted as an optional extra on vehicles with front-wheel drive.
The vehicle is equipped with a diagonally split ABS brake system. The servo-assistance is pneumatic, supplied by the vacuum brake servo unit.
   
The hydraulic unit and control unit are combined in a single component. This is therefore referred to as the hydraulic control unit.
The direct connection between these components reduces possible sources of faults. There is no provision for repairing the hydraulic control unit - it must be renewed if necessary.
The bolts which connect the individual components of the hydraulic control unit must not be unscrewed.
