Removing and installing (replacing)
–  Remove auxiliary heater → Chapter.
–  Detach top part of housing with intake air duct → Chapter.
   
–  Use a screwdriver for example to carefully prise the flame monitor -A- out of the mount in the auxiliary heater burner element.
–  Prise the connector to the combustion air blower -D- out of the mount and unplug it.
–  Unplug the various connectors and remove the components connected to the wiring harness from the auxiliary heater → Chapter (version “1”) or Page → Chapter (version “2”).

t  Before installing the flame monitor, check the photosensor -A- and the hole -B- (to the combustion chamber) for contamination and clean if necessary. If a fault in another component has led to a significant accumulation of combustion residue in the auxiliary heater combustion chamber (e.g. soot, coke deposits or ash on account of a fault in the combustion air supply or exhaust system), dismantle the auxiliary heater and clean the combustion chamber.

t  On installing the flame monitor, pay attention to correct routing of the wiring harness -B-. It must not come into contact with the impeller of the combustion air blower -C-.
