Entering undervoltage shutoff value (adaption channel “01”) |
Note t
The “Adaption” function is to be implemented on vehicles with auxiliary heater on which automatic temperature-sensitive undervoltage shutoff has been activated with code “XXXX1” to check and if necessary alter the adaption value entered.
t
In order not to impair auxiliary heater operation with code “XXXX1”, the value for the “manual shutoff voltage” must be less than 10 V (the factory setting is 9.5 V; the manual shutoff voltage value is also active with this code but is not displayed).
t
The “Adaption” function is to be implemented on vehicles with auxiliary heater on which manual undervoltage shutoff has been activated with code “XXXX2” (shutoff at a fixed voltage value) to check, enter or alter the shutoff voltage value.
t
In order not to impair the starting performance of the engine on vehicles with auxiliary heater, the undervoltage shutoff value entered with code “XXXX2” must be greater than 11.10 V.
t
For vehicles on which code “XXXX1” is active, the function is used to set the fixed undervoltage shutoff value to a level below 10 V (only if this has been changed at some time).
t
As a general rule, use is always to be made of code “XXXX1”, as it provides greater auxiliary heater availability without jeopardising the starting performance of the vehicle → Chapter (Encoding auxiliary heater).
