t  Hose clamps for hoses up to 25 mm Ø -3094-
t  Sealant → Parts catalogue
Removing
  Note
All cable ties which are released or cut open when removing must be refitted in the same position when installing.

–  Remove engine cover panel -arrows-.
  A10-0113
–  Remove cover -1- on left side of engine compartment.
  A10-1031
–  Clamp off coolant hose -2- using hose clamp -3094- and detach coolant hose from coolant expansion tank.
–  Unbolt coolant expansion tank -arrow-.
–  Disconnect electrical wiring for coolant shortage indicator switch -F66- at coolant expansion tank (bottom).
–  Tie coolant expansion tank to one side; coolant hoses -1- and -3- remain connected.

–  Remove cover panel for cylinder head cover (left-side) -arrows-.

–  Pull off spark plug connectors -arrows-.
–  Remove crankcase breather hoses from cylinder head cover.
–  Unfasten cable tie at rear engine lifting eye and move wire clear.

–  Unfasten nuts -1- and -2- for cylinder head cover and detach cylinder head cover.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

Renew cylinder head cover gaskets if damaged.

–  Apply small quantity of sealant to transitions -arrows- at top sealing surface of cylinder head; sealant → Parts catalogue.
  A15-0373
–  Tighten inner nuts -1- for cylinder head cover.
–  Then tighten outer nuts -2- in stages and in diagonal sequence.
–  Fill cooling system → Anchor.
