Vehicles with 2.0 ltr. TDI engine

Removing –  With ignition switched off, disconnect earth cable at battery → Chapter. –  On vehicles with auxiliary heater, unscrew bolts -arrows- for exhaust pipe of auxiliary/supplementary heater at noise insulation.

–  Unfasten bolts/quick-release fasteners -1 ... 3- and detach noise insulation (front and rear).

–  Remove noise insulation -1- in wheel housing (right-side).

–  Unbolt heat shield -1- for drive shaft (right-side).

–  Remove bolts -1- and -2-.

–  Detach starter and swivel aside. –  Unplug electrical connector -3-. –  Unscrew nut -1- for clamp. –  Unscrew nut -2- and remove electrical wiring. –  Unscrew bracket for starter at cylinder block -3- and starter. –  Take out starter. Installing Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following: –  Connect battery. Steps required → Anchor. Tightening torques
