A4 Cabriolet Mk2

Vehicles with 2.4 ltr. and 3.0 ltr. MPI engine
Vehicles with 2.4 ltr. and 3.0 ltr. MPI engine
Removing
–  With ignition switched off, disconnect earth cable at battery → Chapter.
–  Remove front wheel (right-side).
–  Remove alternator → Chapter.
   
–  Unscrew heat shield for drive shaft (right-side) -arrows-.
  A37-0061
–  Unscrew wire for terminal B+ -item 2-.
–  Unplug electrical connector for terminal 50 -item 1-.
–  Pull heat shield -3- off solenoid switch.
–  Unscrew securing bolts for starter -arrows- and remove starter.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
–  Install alternator → Chapter; observe notes on connecting battery.

  A27-0101
