Select replacement parts for the ATF pump and the ATF pump itself according to the gearbox code letters.

• Thrust washer
• Piston
• ◆ Sealing lips are vulcanised to the piston
• ◆ To remove piston, use screwdriver to lever out of stator support at several points
• ◆ Moisten sealing lips with ATF before inserting
• ◆ Fitting location: sealing lip faces towards stator support
• ◆ Turn piston slightly when installing
• Bolt - 10 Nm
• ◆ Then turn 45° further
• Stator support

• Outer gear
• ◆ Installation position: manufacturer's mark -arrow- facing stator support
• ◆ If outer gear is incorrectly installed, the ATF pump may not operate freely in the installed position
• Inner gear
• ◆ Larger shoulder faces toward stator support
• Housing for ATF pump
• O-ring
• ◆ Renew
• Torque converter oil seal

• ‒ Ensure that the ends of the piston rings are hooked together.

Removing

• ‒ Press ends of piston ring together and release by hand.
• ‒ Press two ends of piston ring apart and remove; do not twist piston ring out of groove on one side.

Installing

• ‒ Place piston ring in groove.
• ‒ To hook ends together press sides of ring in and guide ends over one another.
